Be warned of criminal gangs in major towns, Says IG

Inspector General Joseph Boinett, has warned of a rebirth of criminal sect’s within the major towns and immediately has issued a strict warning that their days are numbered.

The IG said there are almost 50 criminal groups within the intelligent radar and operating in major towns like Kisumu, Mombasa and Nairobi.

He said these illicit groups are starting to align themselves in preparation to take advantage of the upcoming electioneering period.

He has warned political parties belonging to some politicians who might be using them or operating with them to cause animosity to the public will be dealt with according to the law.

Some of the well known sects, reported within the security intelligent are “Gaza groups” which operate within Nairobi and Eastland areas while “American Marine” is in Kisumu town.

Therefore, IG has called upon the public to report any criminal incidence in their area of residence, any nearest police station or call the police Number of 999.

The illicit brewers have also been warned to stop it forthwith and comply with the law.
